This birthday month has been one of the quietest in a long while, and it may surprise you, but I’m very thankful for that. No drama, no fanfare, just a peaceful day of rest. Having too much noise in my life hinders me from listening to the One who truly matters, so it was a very special birthday indeed, just me and my date with God. 🙂

April 2018 Recap:
*God keeps repeating this message: I am His Treasure. 🙂
*Learning the principles of prayer so I can grow in the habit and discipline of prayer.
*Remembering the sacrifice and victory of our precious Lord Jesus Christ makes me so thankful.
*Seeing the pure and lovely is a choice to make every day.
*Did a lot of smoothies and baking with E.
*My parents were away for two weeks for a holiday and it made me appreciate their presence more, especially for their help in babysitting!
*Took time to reevaluate what I’m doing and made a few intentional tweaks so I make more time for rest and family.
*Letting go of toxic relationships and friendships that felt too stressful. Sometimes some things are only good for a season. Never easy, but my soul feels free again.
*Books I’m reading: The Cozy Life: Rediscover the Joy of the Simple Things Through the Danish Concept of Hygge by Pia Edberg // Taking Back Childhood: A Proven Road Map for Raising Confident, Creative, Compassionate Kids by Nancy Carlsson-Paige
Season of Rest
In the spirit of rest and vulnerability, I’m going to take a few months of break from blogging. I’ve done that before, and I know the importance of it. This time though, it’s for a different reason. Some of you may know that my first conceiving journey wasn’t easy. Well, this time of waiting upon the Lord for a second child has been challenging too. Infertility is a tough road to walk, and I want to be wise in following the Lord’s leading.
So I’m going to take a break to rest and prioritize this season of waiting for a second miracle. I don’t know how things will unfold, but I’m just going to take things one step at a time. If anything, I know my Lord is forever faithful and will be with me in every situation.
Entering a new season is always exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time. Studying and meditating on God’s Word guards my heart and mind with his peace, and I desire the same for you. If you’ve not gotten your tickets to the “Enjoy the Word Online Bible Conference” yet, do so HERE! It’s going to be life-changing, and I pray for you to be deeply blessed.
