How have the first 2 weeks of 2018 been for you? What are your goals and vision for this new year? Like everyone else, I love a fresh start to the year, and can’t wait to see what the year brings. 🙂
During the 3rd quarter of 2017, I made a conscious decision to be more present with my child. After all, these growing up years are fleeting, and before you know it, those baby wings are mature and steady, and ready to fly off from our nests. So being present as much as possible is important for me so I don’t miss these precious years, and I know I’m not alone in this.
We live in a day and age in which it is not easy to be truly immersed in life itself, and it takes awareness and intentionality to do so. This is one of my goal this 2018 – to #slowdownmotherhood and just BE.
Because the best plan is always just to be – really BE – wherever you are, and whatever you are doing. For when we remain present to the gift of now, we can fully pour ourselves out to the people around us, and we get the privilege of showing God’s love to others.
How to be Present with Children
So I’ve compiled a cute 30-day calendar with ideas to be more present with your children, just for YOU! 🙂
Simply enter your email below and you’ll receive the calendar filled with simple tips you can implement today!
I hope these 30 tips will serve as a daily reminder throughout the month to slow your steps, surrender your agenda to God’s leading, and #slowdownmotherhood so you get to savour the gifts right in front of you. Those chubby hands clinging to your legs and those precious voices squeaking, “Mama! Mama! Mama!” as if their lives depended on it? It will not last forever. I want to lean into this season of mine with no fear of losing anything else.
FOMO (fear of missing out) will leave when we press into Jesus.
So I encourage you to be still before the Lord today and allow His heart to minister to you. Let us take time to be present at His feet, and He will grant us grace to be more present with our children.
May you live out 2018 in the best way possible!
