After 3 months of attending Seimpi School of Music’s classes, I can safely say that Ellie is really responsive to music. Of course – just like any other toddler – she has her moods and preferences. But for the most part, she has remembered the songs that were taught and the beats (ti-ti-ta is her favorite) that they played to. She would dance and get me to sing the songs repeatedly at home, which shows her retention rate of what was taught is rather high.
Seimpi School of Music: Review
She was quite fussy during her last lesson though and kept clinging onto us. It was likely due to tiredness since she woke up really early that morning. So I would advise for parents to choose a time slot that is either before or after your child’s naptime. A cranky toddler will find it hard to enjoy the lesson!
I liked how they used the cloth keyboard to teach the kids about white and black keys, as well as how to count. A very simple way of teaching foundational concepts.
I chatted with one of the Mums over there and she shared about how she preferred the outlet at Centrepoint because it has live music. Since I have only been to the one at Centrepoint, I can’t compare it to other outlets. But the live music does bring a lovely element to the session since the teacher would be able to adjust according to the dynamics of the children present for that day.
All in all, it has been very enriching for Ellie and we clearly see how she has benefited from it. Music is a great form of stimulation for the brain and exposing our little ones to dancing and singing is a wise move. It helps them to develop confidence and learn how to have fun too!
Absorbing information through play and having a structured approach to teaching concepts combines the best of both worlds, and I cannot recommend Seimpi School of Music highly enough. 🙂
Disclosure: Seimpi School of Music has very generously sponsored Ellie’s music classes for 3 months in exchange for honest reviews. All of the opinions are mine, and I only share what I believe to be beneficial for my readers. I hope you have benefited from my sharing!
