I had leftover applesauce so I decided to make some apple waffles for Ellie. She loved it! So did I. 😉
Toddler Recipe: Apple Waffles
1 cup quick-cooking oats
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup whole milk
0.5 cup plain yogurt
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp sugar
- Whisk together flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon powder and salt in a large mixing bowl till combined.
- Whisk in the eggs, milk, yogurt, butter, applesauce and sugar till well combined. Pre-heat waffle maker for about 5 minutes.
- Pour in about 2 heaping tablespoons of batter onto lightly greased waffle maker. Close the lid and follow your waffle maker’s directions. My HappyCall Waffle Maker took about 3 minutes per side on low heat to be fully cooked.
- Lift waffle up from waffle maker and let cool before serving.
Note: These can keep for 5 days in the fridge or 3 months in the freezer.
I hope your little one enjoys these waffles!
