As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
Do you see my cute little embryo above?
Just looking at it brings back a surge of memories.
The implantation day was set on 4 October 2014. It was my boss’s birthday, so she was quite excited to hear from me. This date really made it extra special!
My Mum came over to see how I was doing, and I remember Bren being very nervous throughout the procedures, pacing the surgery room…back and forth, back and forth, back and forth…till it was over and we could leave.
We went for a simple lunch of porridge, and I felt so special, so precious. Being cared for attentively by your loved ones is really so sweet. I kept rubbing my womb, thinking of this cute little embryo, whom we termed “our survivor” against the odds. It was surreal that the possibility of being pregnant was so near, especially after going through such a long wait.
As I walked around the mall after lunch, Bren tried “protecting me” from the crowds, making sure no one bumped into me. It was quite an amusing yet tender sight!
Time to Rest
So right after the implantation was done, my hospitalization leave officially started, and I made sure work arrangements were settled accordingly so my mind could be at peace knowing everything was taken care of.
I was also told by everyone around me to rest, rest and rest even more. Happily, I took the chance to do things that I did not have the time for in the past, like doodling, and having slow nights at home…just cooking, reading, or blogging. It was very therapeutic, and as much as I looked forward to the day of results, I also wanted to savour this memorable time of restoration of the body and soul.
