I wouldn’t have survived the intensity of the tumultuous conceiving journey if not for my friends – literally, they were my prayer pals.
The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
If not for their encouragement and them standing in the gap for me whenever I was down, I wouldn’t have gone through the period of waiting so well. Their presence and love made a big difference to me!
One of them gave me this book, Nerida Walker’s God’s Plan for Pregnancy (aff.).
I love this book and brought this each time we went to see the Gynae. While waiting for our turn to see him, Bren and I would flip open this book and immerse our minds with God’s Truth.
An excerpt from the book:
“When you consider that God is faithful, and that what He says is true, it will enable you to lay hold of the strength of God to conceive!
I remember a time where I had no rest because I was so focused on ‘the baby’. I lost my peace and joy. However, when I stopped stressing and put my trust and confidence in ‘who God is’ and not on ‘the promise’ that is when my joy returned and I was able to rest in His peace. It was not long after that I received my breakthrough and conceived my miracle baby!”
Another sweet friend gave me a bookmark to remind me of believing in God’s faithfulness, and it was a simple yet effective way to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus and His love.
These little gifts helped me in taking one step after another, building up my faith. I really thank God for such wonderful friendships! 🙂
