Now that Ellie is almost 10 months, gone are the days when I could hardly do any housework during the day. I still remember those newborn months when she needed me to rock her to sleep, and I really couldn’t do much except tend to her needs and squeeze in some time to eat and shower.
These days, she naps well most of the time, and even when she’s awake, I can afford to do a little housework while she plays. So I thought I should make more effort to clean up the house, section by section. After all, the end of 2016 will come in a blink of an eye…and what better way to welcome the new year by having a home that’s tidied and deep-cleaned! 😉
Caring for our Homes: Kitchen
So I started first with the kitchen area. Did the laundry, folded the clothes, did the dishes, scrubbed the sink, took out all my pots and pans to clean, tidied the pantry and oven area, and after everything was done….phew, I rewarded myself with a piece of cake haha. Actually, it was a cake that Bren bought for me from his workplace. It’s nice to know he thought of me during his workday! 🙂
Homemaking can be so mundane and routine, but can you imagine if no one takes care of the household chores? Yikes. 😆 Anyway, I hope you’d a fruitful day too! I’ll post my deep-cleaning as I go along, and I hope it inspires you in some way. 🙂 So much more fun when us wives cheer one another on in this homemaking journey, no?
Jesus loves you, and He is concerned about your everyday life. He wants to walk through life with you! God bless your weekend!
Sending you lots of love from cheeky Ellie…💞
